Into Air explores the growing pressure of contemporary life and the need for emotional balance.
It proposes an interactive system that responds to user input and generates personalised pathways for rest, escape, and reflection. The project frames digital interaction as a tool for navigating stress and restoring inner equilibrium.

Context
Into Air originates from an observation of increasing stress and emotional fatigue in contemporary urban life, where fast-paced routines and continuous pressure have made psychological balance increasingly difficult to maintain.
The project is informed by the phenomenon of “johatsu” (evaporated people) in Japan, where individuals disappear from their social and economic identities due to overwhelming pressure, shame, or exhaustion.
Together, these contexts form the conceptual foundation of the project, which explores how digital systems might respond to emotional overload through structured pathways for escape, reflection, and recovery.
